This page explains what data is processed when you visit alkadraz.com and what cookies are used. The site is a nature and knowledge platform, structured to process as little personal data as possible.
What data do we process?
Automatically processed: When you visit the site the server briefly processes your IP address and browser information as part of standard web logging. This data is used only for security and error detection.
Comments: Comments are currently disabled across the site. Your name, email address, or IP address are not collected through commenting.
Contact: There is currently no contact form on the site. You can reach us using the information on the Contact page.
Analytics and tracking: No Google Analytics or similar visitor tracking tool is currently active on the site. We do not monitor visitor behaviour.
Cookies
This site uses cookies. A detailed list of which cookies are written, their purposes, and retention periods can be found on the Cookie Policy page. You can change your cookie preferences at any time through your browser settings or the “Manage Cookies” link at the bottom of the page.
In summary: a functional cookie is written by the consent tool (Complianz), Cloudflare infrastructure cookies may be present, and — if you consent — embedded YouTube videos and affiliate network cookies may be written.
Third-party sharing
We do not share, sell, or rent the limited data we process to third parties. The following exceptions apply:
- YouTube: Some articles include embedded YouTube videos. When you play a video YouTube may process your connection data. YouTube is governed by Google’s privacy policies.
- Affiliate networks (TravelPayouts Drive): The site contains affiliate links. TravelPayouts Drive is a script that automatically converts links in the articles into affiliate links; this script loads only after you give cookie consent. When you click an affiliate link the request passes through the relevant network’s domain (e.g. Admitad, Travelpayouts). The network may write its own cookies and identifiers; the site does not see your post-click behaviour. For the networks’ own privacy policies, please refer to their respective websites.
- Cloudflare: Site traffic passes through the Cloudflare network; connection data is processed for security and performance.
Data storage and hosting
The site is hosted on Hetzner servers (Germany).
Server logs are retained for 30 days, backups for 90 days.
